Here is an interesting specimen of Carrolite. It comes from the Kamoya South Mine, Kambove, Katanga, Dem. Rep. of Congo.

This specimen consists of what looks like a large single crystal is in fact and cluster of inter-grown and twinned crystals.

They have very high luster faces, very mirror like. The crystal cluster is 1.13 cm in diameter. 

The crystals sit atop a cluster of calcite crystals. Other micro carrolite crystals are also present.

Measures 2.6 cm x 2.55 cm x 1.4 cm

Carrollite, CuCo2S4, is a sulfide of copper and cobalt, often with substantial substitution of nickel for the metal ions, and a member of the linnaeite group.
