Malachite ps. after Azurite

Out of an old collection is this very fine pseudomorph,
of velvety green crystallized malachite replacing azurite.
Here is a beautiful example of this old classic from many years ago, from this closed locality.
The original azurite crystals were blocky crystals up to 2.2 cm,
which formed over what appears to be a plate of copper.
Sharply formed inter-grown crystals, covered in a lustrous chatoyant velvet malachite,
cover the top of this specimen.
Fine specimens such as this, are rare to find in the market these days.
