Here is a beautiful natural Specimen of Quartz var. Citrine, from a find made in the last few years. This amazing, museum quality crystal, comes from the Mansa District, Luapula Province, Zambia, South Africa.
Natural Citrine Quartz crystals of good quality are uncommon worldwide. This crystal as with all that I have for sale, are all natural, no treatments of any kind. This impressive, elongated, water-clear, flattened, obelisk has rich golden-amber color and lightly frosted faces with subtle stepped-growth. The termination has a trivial bit of bruising, but is mostly on the back side. The unique contact grooves at the base, where other crystals once lay, are essentially pristine, but these actually add character to the crystal. Complete all-around. Excellent and facinating material. This recent find from Zambia elevates the species. Comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base valued at $100, for free.
