Well this is Not something you see cut everyday.
In fact, most cutters don't want to go near fluorite due to it's softness and ability to cleave in every direction.
These wonderful faceted Illinois Fluorite gems should be used for display, but I have seen some amazing pendants and earrings made with similar stones.
This stone is a beautiful golden yellow color, can look more golden or more yellow depending on the viewing angle and lighting.
The stone is eye clean. There are some interesting micro inclusions that are very hard to see.
Also present is some micro inclusions of a petroleum, which can be seen using a UV light, which makes them light up yellow. Also of interest is the fluorite under UV light has a pink color to it.
