Here is a very interesting specimen of Andradite Garnet var. Topazolite, with Diopside. This small cabinet size specimen comes from an area near the Victor Claim, Indian Hill, in the Clear Creek Management Area, in San Benito County, CA.
This unusual specimen has topazolite garnet and diopside crystal needles covering the entire surface. The garnet crystals are a mustard yellow color. There are areas of two distinct shades of color, the lighter and a more amber coloration.
The specimen weighs 56.6 grams and measures approx. 5.97 cm x 3.93 cm x 2.23 cm
This specimen is very interesting especially under magnification.
