This specimen comes from a new area being worked. If this specimen is any indication, it has the potential of producing some very impressive specimens.
This specimen has good form and color for any locality, but especially attractive for a U.S. specimen of this type. This specimen consists of a large, sharp, well formed, partially skeletal crystal with defined smoky and purple Amethyst bi color zoning and shows sceptering. Most of it's terminated faces are slightly frosted. For the most part, the majority of the crystal is completely crystallized, but it does have some roughness on the back and bottom of the specimen.
This beauty measures approx. 13.7 cm x 10.8 cm x 5.7 cm. It weighs almost 2 pounds.
