This is one amazingly beautiful and complex crystal of Quartz var. Smoky. This unique miniature size specimen comes from Tujetsch, Vorderrhein Valley, Grischun, Switzerland.
This is a single Smoky quartz crystal that has such complicated terminations that it is a true wonder.
It is believed that this gem clear single crystal was formed not only between other quartz crystals but possibly in the middle of feldspar crystals from this region. Then millions of years ago, acids from the earth dissolved away the feldspar leaving this amazing one of a kind crystal.
This crystal is water clear with the most beautiful smoky coloring. There is no damage at all, even the very tips are actual terminations.
The specimen measure approx. 4.32 cm x 1.65 cm x 1.67 cm.
