Out of an old collection, is this interesting specimen of tourmalated quartz. I cannot say I have not seen another like it before.
The quartz growth was altered by the tourmaline and lepidolite in such a way as to make these stepped conical quartz crystals.
It would appear that this specimen had a second conical formation, but long ago it it was lost and is now healed over. 
It has some crazy natural stepped faces in addition to some etched ones. The are some small spots within the quartz that are very iridescent. 
A very visually interesting large specimen that is even more interesting using magnification.
