Out of an old collection, come this specimen of red beryl.
The original perky box label just says Red Beryl, not enough room for other minerals.
On the bottom of the original perky box, is a hand written note stating it was purchased in 1971.
This is a small thumbnail of rhyolite matrix which hosts the minerals.
There appears to be a small cluster of gemmy red beryl crystals, partially exposed.
To the side, is a crystal of white topaz, and a black bixbyite crystal.
A nice starter specimen for a collection.
